Nancy Moyer, the article by Corpus Christi Caller-Times does require a login but isn't so bad. My take is that the series is being conducted because of major development and a petition to restrict beach driving on sections of North Padre Island such as near Packary Channel, which has made many locals quite mad. This particular article was was about beaches in Florida and curiously had lots of architecture discussion in it, for some reason. However, that was only my 10-second impression.

I think the staff writers are enjoying their time out of the office, so it seems!
